Michelle loves Trinelle

Michelle and Trinele wanted a personal, memorable wedding. A special day where they could celebrate their love for one another, while being able to talk and mingle with all of their closest friends and family. It was a family getaway with a wedding in-between. Michelle and Trinele recited their vows to one another under a wood arch covered with purple and white flowers, amongst the breath taking backdrop of Cuvier Park in La Jolla. Beautiful purple rose peddles winding up and down the aisle. The waves crashed behind them as they kissed for the first time as husband and wife.

After their intimate ceremony, the newly weds and their guests headed over to Prospect Bar and Grill, which they had rented out for their celebration. Tables were set with white linens, silver napkins, and center pieces of long cylinder glass vases with assorted floating flowers and candles. The seating arrangement was very casual and inviting, without seating charts or escort cards. Certain tables were set aside with elegantly framed "reserved" signs for the bride, groom, and immediate family. Personal touches were not overseen; Hershey kisses with a purple heart and the couples names on the bottom, giveaways of small boxes of purple jellybeans tied with purple ribbon and a thank you tag, and individual cupcakes for their guests instead of the traditional slices of cake. The remainder of the evening was enjoyed by eating great food, dancing, taking photos in the mobile photo booth, and laughing with great company. Michelle and Trinele's goal of a relaxing and loving vibe, where everyone enjoyed each others company was certainly obtained.

Carla Loves Dalton

A vivacious palette of flowers and deep purple linens, mixed with an energetic and very much in love bride and groom equated to another fabulous wedding. The couple pulled up to the reception at El Cortez in a vintage Rolls Royce. Splashes of Carla’s heritage really livened up the party. From tray passed margaritas, to a surprise mariachi band from her father during his toast, this wedding defiantly didn’t lack in the fun department. Once dinner was over, and everyone had had a chance at the photobooth, the bride, groom, and guest jumped onto the dance floor and danced the rest of the night away to songs performed by a live band. As if the night already wasn’t fun enough, masks, musical shakers, and neon light up bracelets and necklaces were thrown into the mix. There couldn’t have been a better place then The Don Room and terrace at El Cortez for this wedding to take place. The historic room blended seamlessly with Carla’s heritage, making a beautiful start for Dalton and Carla’s future together. Just when the guest thought it was time to pack up their dancing shoes and head home, Carla and Dalton surprised everyone with late night snacks on the terrace; old fashioned glass Coca-Cola bottles, red and white stripped straws, and mouth watering In-N-Out burgers. This was most certainly one of the most energetic, fun, and beautiful weddings we’ve done.

I Do...Weddings! Tabletop Featured in Exquisite Weddings!

Earlier this spring, the entire I Do...Weddings! team paired up with Exquisite Wedding magazine to create a unique tablescape for the magazine. As you know, we always like to go outside of the box and challenge ourselves, so we opted against a standard dining table. Instead, we designed a vibrant and tropical Ladies Brunch, right on the bay at the Mission Bay Hilton. The event centers around good food and company, when the gals from a wedding celebrate the bride on the morning of her wedding. This is a GREAT idea, and a fun way to spend the early morning before hair and make-up. A nice, healthy breakfast, coupled with our "Nuptial Elixir" cocktail designed by Melissa and a gentle group yoga session with aromatherapy mists rounds out a relaxing morning. This certainly gets everyone both de-stressed and excited for a big wedding day ahead. This is also an excellent alternative to a Bridesmaids luncheon or brunch. This is a perfect and simple way to honor your bridal party, too!

We cannot thank the entire team enough for their contributions to this spread. We had an absolute blast, and enjoyed every minute! Be sure to pick up the newest edition of Exquisite Weddings...on stands now!
