Chandra Loves Ty: Coronado Community Center Wedding

Chandra married Ty on Sunday June 17th, 2012 at the Coronado Community Center. This was a wedding full of surprises for everyone. The bride was illuminating in her wedding gown, and the groom was dressed to the T's! They were the cutest couple to be around, in every way. Chandra wanted color, and loved vivid decor, and that showed in her flowers and decoration choices for the wedding. Bright oranges, pinks and teals filled the reception room, and gave guests plenty to gawk at. Their union was a sight to see.

Chandra had a vision of vivid color and beautiful accents. She incorporated it into her surprise dress change for her groom. She went from blushing bride to sassy dance queen in her traditional Indian dress. Ty had no idea. It was great to get to be part of her surprise in helping her change that day. The look on his face when she came out was priceless. Her Mendie hand painting was beautiful and everyone loved that she not only did it for herself, but for her bridesmaids as well. She even had Elephant tea light holders as favors for the guests to enjoy and take home. She did a great job of combining a traditional American wedding with her traditional ties. They even had a photo booth for guests to enjoy all night long!
I was so pleased to get to be part of this mix of cultures for their wedding.

Special Thanks to all the vendors.

Rancho Bernardo Inn Wedding: Erin Loves Jason!

Erin married Jason in June at The Rancho Bernanrdo Inn. The day was gorgeous, and the only thing that could compare with the day was how amazing Erin looked. This was a couple that put their hearts and souls into the wedding that they had dreamed about. Planning a destination style wedding in San Diego can be a challenge for some couples, but with a little help from some amazing vendors helped to pull everything together.
Erin and her family were very involved with the planning from the beginning. From the color scheme to the lavender tied place cards, everything had to be perfect for this wedding, and in my opinion it was! Great music from The Wayne Foster band, helped to create a beautiful garden style wedding. The flowers and Chuppah were beautifully created by Annette Gomez. I have never seen a chuppah like this before. Just the construction of it took an hour, to get all the details right. Each family was represented so beautifully in this ceremony that it brought tears to many guests. Lanterns, and greenery lined the aisle as the couple walked up to the immaculate chuppah. It was a sight to see. The ceremony was so sweet and it seemed like only the two of them were there, even though guests were treated to the whole event. It was intimate, and yet all inclusive for guests and family members.

The reception was fantastic. Great music, and lighting made the whole room seem to come alive with a subtle glow. Every detail was thought of from the table arrangements to the dessert buffet at the end of the night. The details of this wedding really showed through. Erin and Jason were such a great couple to work with, and I was honored that they allowed me to share in their special day. They were so much fun!

Special Thanks to all the great vendors!

Cuvier Wedding: Sarah Loves Ryan

On July 28th, Sarah and Ryan said their vows to one another in an intimate ceremony amongst 25 of their closest friends and family. Cuvier Park in La Jolla was the perfect backdrop for their simple and beautiful destination wedding celebration. The park is nestled on top of the beach with breathtaking views of what seems to be an endless blue ocean. An “S”, for the couples last name, made up of purple rose pedals adorned the grass where the couple would soon say “I Do”. Tropical flowers were tided to the sides of the guest chairs and the corners of the canopy. As each guest entered the park, they were greeted and pinned with a purple orchid, adding an even closer feel to this already intimate ceremony.

When the ceremony was over, Sarah and Ryan surprised their guest with fun transportation to their reception location, Eddie V’s, in an all white and gold Felicity Wedding Trolley. Once guest arrived at Eddie V’s, they were taken upstairs and welcomed by beautiful music from Jeff Bishop’s guitar, and even more spectacular views of the coast. In such an intimate setting, guests were able to drink their wine, enjoy the seafood tower, all the while mingling with all the wedding guest as the sun slowly set. Sarah and Ryan and their guest ate, drank, and laughed the rest of the night away. So glad I could be apart of such a loving happy day.
